Linda’s Story
Everyone has a past…
Linda has been homeless, a drunk, a victim of domestic violence, a drug dealer, hopeless and helpless. Today, she empowers women who are re-entering society from the criminal justice system> She also offers support to survivors of Domestic Violence and Addiction through her Non-Profit Corporation, Beginning Today, Inc., her book, radio show, speaking engagements and workshops.
Her passion is to influence women in such a way as to inspire them into positive action to live their best lives and to love the life they are living. She is dedicated to sharing her inspirational message and real-life example for women of all ages.
Linda works tirelessly providing her services to various women organizations. She has facilitated support groups for the Cascade House, which is under the auspices of the Y.W.C.A., The Clayton County Family Violence Center and the Sisters Circle for Sisters Empowerment Network.
She provides life skills to the Fayette County Women’s Prison system and to community-based programs offered through Community & Housing Initiatives Corporation. She has also provided inspirational speaking for various women causes.
Linda also conducts workshops, most recently for an Engineering consortium, The National Black Women’s Life Balance and Wellness Conference and Sanford Brown College.
She has served as the Director of Women’s Programs for Community & Housing Initiatives Corporation and has been a premium expert writer to, “It’s All About Women.com” and a trusted author to “SelfGrowth.com.”
Linda has served as the Chairperson for the Women’s Ministry at the Olivet Church and the Director of Women Services for the Olivet Community Development Corp.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of Discover A New Beginning, Inc. Founded in 2005, her organization is committed to the empowerment and restoration of women. Linda has a BA degree in English and is a Certified Insight and Wisdom Coach.
